Today is National Best Friends Day and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with my blogger/real life bestie Alyssa Mopia of Where Alyssa Wanders and Coffee & Convos!
For those of you who don’t know our history, Alyssa and I first met on Twitter 3 years ago! After chatting online for a couple of months, we quickly found out that we had a lot of similar interests and that we both went to San Diego State University — Go Aztecs! It’s crazy to think that even though we had the same classes in college we never crossed paths until now. Getting to know Alyssa for the past three years has been a blessing. She has a huge heart and an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve never met someone who is so open to discussing their journey of pursuing their passions before. It takes a lot of self confidence and love to go whole heartedly after your dreams. We’ve shared a lot with each other, from talking about our families, childhood memories, personal passions and more. I thought I was alone on this journey of becoming my own boss, blogger, youtuber, whatever you want to be you name it until I met Alyssa!
So when Pocky approached us with this beautiful idea to share our friendship story, we were so excited to collaborate! Pocky has been one of my favorite sweet treats since I was little. I remember going to the store with my parents and always grabbing a box or two to eat. (yes I would eat two boxes – because why not haha ) Their motto is #sharehappiness and I think it can be applied to so many aspects of life, from sharing a box of Pocky with your bestie or sharing happiness/support/love with your closest friends and family.
We’re an interesting pair because we have such different styles and interest but yet we carry so much of the same values and passions for life. We share in knowing that we’re both here on this journey of self discovery. When you find a friend who is open to share in each other’s happiness – they’re definitely a keeper!
