Hey everyone! Wow, was January an eventful month! Seeing everyone hit the ground running with their passion projects at the start of the year was amazing and inspiring. The biggest obstacle that I encountered this past month was learning how to better balance my time between all of the things that I wanted to do and not feel guilty if I didn’t. In reality we all have an abundance of time to make our dreams come true but we just have to remember to embrace it. 
It’s been a while since I’ve done a monthly recap but I think it’s great to look back and appreciate all of the special moments that happened!
Launching The Casual Creatives Podcast with Alyssa!
This crazy passion project that Alyssa and I have been brainstorming finally became real when we launched our first Podcast episode! It’s been amazing working together with my blogger/real life bestie on something that we’re both so passionate about. Check out our first episode on SoundCloud or iTunes! Celebrated Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year
Chinese New Year is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to spend it with the entire family. This year I made traditional Chinese dishes such as Turnip Cake for the first time ever! I followed my Grandpas recipe and I think it turned out pretty well!
Going to Coffee & Convos first event of the year!
The first Coffee & Convos event of the year was so fun! Check out the amazing shirt that tkaytwo drew up! I’m so proud of Alyssa for putting this together and building so much community in San Diego. Her compassionate heart and drive always inspires me!
Brunching with good friends!
Johnny and I got to catch up with our dear friend Amy of The Blushing Pink and her husband Steve! We love going on double dates with these two, they are the best and we always have a great time with them! They are huge foodies if you haven’t noticed from Amy’s Instagram. We went to Piacere Mio in South Park for some yummy Italian food!
